Why this Billionaire gave $100 Million to Dolly Parton!


Recently the media has been on fire to the news that $100 million are being donated by this Billionaire, but who is he? And, What are the possible intentions behind it? 


Jeff Bezoz, the founder of Amazon and the fourth richest person in the world, says he plans to give away the bulk of his $124 billion fortune during his lifetime. 


"I try to put my money where my heart is. I will do my best to do good things with this money ❤️ Thank you @JeffBezos #LaurenSanchez" Says Dolly Parton on her official Twitter account. 


With a current fortune of $124 billion, Jeff Bezoz decided to give away 0.08% of his fortune.  On the 13th of November, 2022 Jeff Bezoz announced giving away 100 million dollars to Dolly Parton, saying she can choose a charity of her choice to donate the money to. The Billionaire had also pledged to give away most of his $124 billion net worth during his lifetime to fight climate change and unify humanity. 



"Jeff Bezos, one of the richest people alive and biggest carbon emitters just said that he doesn’t believe it’s the responsibility of billionaires to pay for the climate crisis. 

Just to make this clear: the world’s richest 1% cause double the carbon emissions of the poorest 50 %." Says someone on Twitter.

    I think he’s very generous in giving away most of his fortune. No disrespect to Dolly Parton but aren’t there others that might have a better idea where this money is needed most? Without having more information, I’m sure that some billionaires have a better regard for carbon emissions than others. I’m sure some are still in denial about global warming.

      I agree with your opinion, if he decides to donate this much money he would at least let the media know where exactly is it going, most Billionaires are causing the biggest portion of carbon emissions too.
